Heavy Equipment Shop Technician

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 based on experience level
Availability: Monday – Friday 7:00AM- 5:00PM, with some overtime based on business requirements
Bane Machinery, Inc. has openings for Dallas and Ft. Worth Heavy Equipment Shop Technicians for their growing Service Department in the Heavy Equipment and Construction Industry. This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, electrical systems, and safety of construction equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Consult equipment maintenance, repair manuals, and schematics
- Recondition and repair equipment and components including scheduled maintenance (cleaning and lubricating parts)
- Diagnose and identify malfunctions, using computerized tools and equipment
- Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, such as bearings, pistons, and gears
- Overhaul and test major components, such as engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment and components
- Demonstrating proactive communication with internal and external customers regarding repairs
Requirements:
- Mechanically skilled, with heavy machinery or similar industry
- Demonstrates effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability
- Knowledge of heavy equipment industry, construction machinery parts, or related field
- Ability to follow and interpret OEM schematics via various manufacturer websites and systems
- Must be able to speak read and write the English language
- Availability to work weekends and overtime to accommodate business needs
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Trade or Technical School (Preferred)
Experience:
- 1-3 years repair and maintenance of heavy equipment or construction machinery (preferred)
