Heavy Equipment Field Technician
Job Type: Multiple openings, Full Time
Location: Ability to commute to Dallas, Ft. Worth and surrounding areas of the DFW metropolitan area
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00/hr. based upon experience
Availability: Monday – Friday: 7:00AM – 5:00PM
Flexible to working various hours, including some overnight or weekends based on the business and customer needs.
We have immediate openings for Heavy Equipment Field Technician with positions at our Dallas and Ft. Worth locations. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Field Technician experience in the heavy machinery or construction industry. The Heavy Equipment Field Technician is responsible for safely providing effective, high-quality repair of equipment. This position offers door-to-door pay, overtime based on business needs, the opportunity to attend technical OEM training sessions and opportunity for advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Recondition and repair machinery equipment and components in the field
- Follow applicable Company, Local, State, and Federal rules and regulations (OSHA, MSHA, TXDOT, etc.)
- Troubleshoot issues while working independently with limited resources in outdoor conditions
- Diagnose electrical and hydraulic failures with the ability to read and understand schematics
- Maintain company assets, including assigned service vehicle
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Requirements:
- Fully insurable with a valid Class C license
- Working safely
- Own and maintain a personal tool inventory
- Knowledge and experience with hydraulics, electrical, electronic systems, pneumatics, diagnostics, and calibration
- Mechanical and technical aptitude, working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions
- Microsoft Office Suite, other technology and systems
- Ability to communicate effectively, utilizing both verbal and writing skills.
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills and organizational ability
Education:
- High School diploma, GED, and/or vocational training or certifications in a similar industry.
Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in Heavy Equipment or similar industry (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with hydraulics, electrical, electronic systems, pneumatics, diagnostics, and calibration.
- Microsoft Office Suite, other technology and systems
