Bane Machinery traces its beginnings to 1963 when George P. Bane purchased Texas Tractor Company in Tyler, Texas. He gave the new company his name, George P. Bane, Inc., and his commitment to provide outstanding construction equipment and dependable service to his customers.

Within a few years George P. Bane II had joined his father and learned the business firsthand by working in every critical department—sales, service, and parts. In 1980, the son succeeded his father as president of the company. Eight years later, he opened a second location in Dallas.
